It seems like i always get really excited by neon lights and intense color filters once it starts getting colder. There's just something about the balance between the cold commercialism and the sexiness. It's almost kind of gross because they're like these two impure concepts and they always seem a bit dirty and sleazy but they present it in a way that's hard to look away.

Also i'm totally in love with samantha morton. I seen morvern callar about a year back and i thought it was good but i guess it didn't stick with me too much because i quickly forgot about it only to rewatch it again this year and really fall in love with it. Everything about it is perfect: the pacing, the imagery, the music, and of course samantha morton's acting done without much dialogue. It was the first time that i was watching a film and was really taken back by just the expressions of an actor. I've been on a samantha morton kick since then watching code 46 and jesus' son because anything this girl in is good and she just seems like such a smart sincere woman who really takes pride in her craft and she's just so dreamy.

I bought this super cute hello kitty golden half camera and took some pictures in colorado while visiting my brother and most of them turned out horrible which is a real bummer, so i'm going to have to wait till summer to get some better shots. Winters coming up and i'm just going to shoot a couple disposables and some black and white in the fisheye from here on out.
