lost in translation has a good sountrack
I always wanted to make this anti-climatic summer movie, like the summer that changed nothing. And after coming to stay with my parents for a week i'm pretty keen on the idea of that summer movie taking place at your parents house after you move out, and its all hot and muggy waking up naked with hair stuck to your face in a guest bedroom, hanging out with people you went to high school with, going to the beach, getting ice cream, listening to loud music in a shitty car, small dance parties, bright colors, pink/orange/red/blue, lights, parents making dinner, eating outside, looking at old pictures/notes of your friends, going to doctor appts., eating watermelon and watching cowboy bebop and shin chan, taking a bath, having sand in your bed, wearing the same clothes for a week and finally doing laundry, white houses in suburbs, techno pop music and 70's music, car alarms/ trains/ice cream truck/ wind chimes, foggy days, rain, video games, riding bikes, going through trails in the woods, flowers and plants, having wet hair laying in bed slightly sunburned. Just a good casual hang out movie thats real colorful and full of little scenes all sun dried and slow and captures a good lethargic summer mood.
