i love how this movie is so dark and gray but reminds me so much of spring. Kind of like how ambient and minimal it is but its still a gangster crime drama, pen-ek's good like that.
The iguazu falls shot by wong kar wai from happy together. Beautiful, hazy, wet, blue, voluminous, and slow set to Caetano Veloso's Cucurrucucu Paloma is always an image in the back of my head when i think of spring.
shitty y tu mama tambien stills. i was planning on doing a screen shot frenzy when i finally remembered to ask my brother in law for the netflix password and of course it stopped streaming. i just really wanted to at least cap that one hotel room because it's so cute and y tu mama is the ultimate summer movie you can taste that fresh coconut water and feel the sea.

pinks and blues and a lot of light. This spring/summer i'm all about this homey comfortable sort of timid tropicalness. Things like eating melons at the dinner table, walking around gardens, and feeling lethargic from too much sun, going to the beach at night, and eating ramen noodles in front of my computer in an oversized tee sweating to the sound of wind chimes and spanish pop music.
